SMS Group can undertake the installation of tube, hose and instruments for hydraulic or pneumatic services at all site locations. Our vast experience in this area means we are able to offer expert advice on material and component selection, routing, termination, testing and flushing. Our technicians are fully trained and conversant with the functionality for all operating systems and the components they employ.

Foundation
Today’s global market encourages diversity and gives the customer a huge range of materials from which to select their hydraulic or pneumatic components. Few companies have the in-house experience to install and work with the full range of materials and products now available including Super Duplex, High Pressure Plastics, Welded Tube and conventional materials.

Support
SMS can provide qualified instrument pipe and small bore tubing fitters singly or in fully supervised teams and all come equipped to undertake any task. Our current standard for installation is the UKOAA Guideline for Management Design and Installation for Small Bore Systems. Tube sizes from 1/8” to 2” OD are standard but larger sizes can be handled with ease using specialist tube bending and ferrule swaging machinery and techniques. We are fully conversant with a full range of joining techniques including compression fittings, tapered and parallel threads and welded or coned connections.
