 Commissioning
The SMS Group offers a full range of inspection, testing,
calibration and re-certification services within its
main facility and has developed fully equipped mobile
options for site location. Both resources are capable
of completing a comprehensive range of activities from
general maintenance to the refurbishment and re-certification
of test equipment, pressure relief valves and gauges.
SMS also offers a full inspection, test and re-certification
package on accumulators to BS 5430, which includes
removal and reinstallation from site locations.
Service Foundation
As more stringent controls and legislation come into
place clients find they must spend more time organising
documentation and ensuring traceability. Planning
the inspection, testing, calibration of critical
equipment can be a costly, time consuming exercise,
depending on the application and environment the
equipment is in. To do this the Client must monitor
new and pending legislation across a multitude of
disciplines and apply it to his specific location.

on recommending best practice and implementation
strategies. Coupled with the technical experience
within this department we can offer a full package
to any customer requirement, from component removal
to re-installation and functioning. All our technical
support staff are able to travel anywhere in the
world. SMS provides upon request, written maintenance
and procedural reports for any work undertaken. Continual
investment and modernisation programs ensure that
this service offered to its customers the best possible
option for maintenance quality. SMS will offer a
fully personalised service agreement package that
includes the development of a proactive service plan
and documentation archives. This program benefits
the customer by lessening the burden of tracking
and certifying equipment.
